B.A.R.K. stands for Bag your pet’s waste, Always leash your pet, Respect wildlife, and Know where you can go. This program emphasizes these essential practices to ensure that our natural spaces remain enjoyable and safe for everyone. As part of this initiative, pet owners can bring their furry friends to the Fort Moultrie Visitor’s Center, where pets are officially “sworn in” as B.A.R.K. Rangers. Each dog receives a free collar tag, symbolizing their commitment to being a good park citizen, and owners can purchase a special B.A.R.K. Ranger bandana as a fun, stylish addition.
